Did China just say "or else" ?

China just demanded an explanation for the US quantative easing (Bloomberg). Does this mean that unless they get one, the US Federal Reserve will not only be the largest, but the ONLY holder of US government debt? I think Glenn Beck said that exactly this would happen two days ago ...
